Welcome to Garrett Baptist Church of Garrett, TX. Whether you are getting to know us for the first time, or if you have been around awhile and are ready to get more connected, we are ready to help you. We encourage you to make plans to join us and see for yourself what God is doing in the lives of the GBC church family.
Even though many churches today have opted to delete many of their services, GBC still has traditionally scheduled services. We have Sunday school at 10:00 and Worship at 11:00 on Sunday morning, Sunday evening Worship at 6:00 pm, and Wednesday evening Bible Study and Prayer Meeting at 7:00 pm. We also have monthly Ladies’ Bible Studies and Men’s Prayer Breakfasts as opportunities for you to grow in your faith and have wholesome spiritual fellowship with other believers.
Services are prayerfully filled with Gospel-based old-fashion hymn singing, uplifting specials from some in our congregation, as well as special singing groups throughout the year, and biblical preaching from the King James Version of the Bible. You will find the messages practical, Christ centered, and challenging.
If you are bringing an infant or toddler (0-4 years old), you may take them to the nursery where the nursery keeper will take extra good care of your child while you are in Church. On the last Sunday of each month, we have a Junior Church program for children who are 5 years through 10 years old. During the other Sundays, we encourage families to sit together in Church to train their children how to behave in Church.
Garrett Baptist Church has a thriving Mission’s Program called the Patrick Henry Memorial Faith Promise Missions. Presently, we give monthly support to 30 missionaries around the world. GBC has a Mission’s month during March each year, when different Missionaries will come and speak or Bro. Lang will Zoom with some on the fields where they are laboring for our Lord. Our Mission’s year runs from April through March each year and this year, 2024, we promised $60,000.00 to our Missions. (See the list of our Missionaries in the segment of GBC Missions.)
